This is a Chevy vs ford thing. Get whichever phone feels good to you. I have a Motorola razr currently and would not buy another currently. But they change phones on a daily basis, so you never know. I will say my razr can take multiple drops onto concrete floors without major damage and no case or screen protector.
2 gb doesn't last long on 4g. I'm around 20gb a month myself. But if you aren't a power user then who knows....
Apple vs droid thing is not a huge deal in my book. Get whatever seems good for you. I have iPads and MacBooks, but prefer droids for phones currently. But that could change in future too.
