diferent smart phones

I see a thread about androd and its apps. Im about to jump into the smart phone thing. So which phone? When I go shopping I ask the clerk what phone they have and a good many of them have the Samsung III. So what phone do you have and if you were to get a new one which one would you choose. Those that have Verizon is the 2 gig enough data for you and your wife
