I have a digital photo that I want to put the info of time taken and date. Supposedly that info is embedded on the photo out of sight so how do I get it to show up?
Depends. Different cameras embed various information in the digital image, and some do embed the actual GPS location, providing it is available, at the time the original picture was made. Use software to see the embedded information. Mine shows the actual camera type and serial number, and all the details including lens settings, exposure, some color values, exposure time, zoom and focus values. Plus the date and time. Most all include at least the time and date, but the date is dependent on if you have the correct date and time stored in the camera at setup. Otherwise, sometimes you can calculate the actual date and time from whatever the camera base settings were.
If you are using Windows, you can right click on the file, select 'Properties', then click the 'Details' tab. This will list many details about the photo including date and time taken. You could then load the photo in Paint (which is included with Windows) and type the date and time.
Depends on the software used to display the pictures I suppose. If I bring up a picture taken on my iPhone it shows date time where, and even a map showing where.
