It is true that a Slimline 5 can be difficult because of the distance between the 99 and 119 satellites. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the 110 and 119 satellites are only needed for the SD locals for some markets and that those same SD channels are duplicated in HD from the 99 and 103 satellites. If this is true I can see no reason for anyone using the difficult SL5 when the SL3 will do the job.
As many times as I've set up my HD dish I still get fooled by the signal from the 110 satellite occasionally. I have vowed now that I will never begin a setup without using my slope level on the LNB arm to make sure it doesn't get me. If it happens again it will probably be around Amarillo where the satellites line up horizontally.
