For those of you that have switched between Direct and Dish frequently, could you help me understand the true cost of doing so?
I understand the monthly savings that can be achieved on programing fees by switching back and forth between Dish and Direct to take advantage of the special "teaser" rates that they offer new customers.
However, how do the "up front" equipment fees enter into the equation when you switch?
Don't you have to pay a couple hundred dollars per receiver each time you switch companies? Also, unlike a cell phone contract, don't you have to return the receivers at the end of the 2 year contract?
