The issue you will encounter with this option is that one of you will not be able to receive ANY Network programming (ABC, CBS, etc.) as this programming is spot beamed and you can only have one set of Networks on an account. On the assumption that your sister wants to be able to watch the home news when she likes that leaves you without that option but you can always crank up your OTA antenna and watch the Networks available in your area. They just won't be available via satellite.
