Directv-AT&T Merger
What has anybody heard regarding this pending merger? I wonder how this might affect our Directv subscriptions. Any thoughts?

- The same will happen when Sprint and Dish merge - follow the money.
- New awesome bundling packages...but only for new subscribers. Remember, bundle and save, even if you think it's stupid to pay for a phone line you never use just so you can get "high-speed" internet. LOL
- Yeah, new subscribers! Love it when the every 2 year plan jumpers get the deals while us long time loyal subscribers get it in the shorts. I'm about to join forces with the plan jumpers.

- AT&T wants frequency spectrum (terrestrial)that Direct TV owns so it can enhance their cell network for over the air broadband (data):C. U verse has also not been too good for them. Unhappy customers can be directed to Direct TV!
- You can bet your DirecTv bill will go up.
- Based on the experience I've had with AT&T and what I've seen on this & other forums about Direct it's two bad customer service companies joining to make one very bad customer service company. Forty years ago when I had to moved one requirement was Bell (AT&T) phone service being available as they were the best in Indiana but now their customer service is virtually nonexistent.
