DirecTV HD Charge
Do you suppose when DirecTV does away with SD channels they will do away with the $10.00 charge for HD? Since you won't have the option there shouldn't be an additional charge.

Now why would they do that???? Well they might on paper. but up the cost of a subscription 15 bucks to make up for the 10 dollar loss. (or 25).- Dump it all and just use over-the-air television. You'll be much richer, and won't have to fret over that $10.00 at all.
- Dutchman must not camp in the places we do. For us, sat is usually the only game in town unless we want to watch DVDs....

Sometimes, that's really not a bad thing to be electronic free. We do keep a variety of DVD's in the camper. We gave up DishTV and DirectTV a few years ago when they jacked prices so high it insane. We were down to bare bones service and still being charged a fortune. The nickle and diming has to stop somewhere. Maybe for you, this last $10.00 will be it.
