All three major cable news networks run into contract problems with the satellite and cable providers. CNN was off DISH for a month shortly before Fox was.
In reality we all would be better off without any of them since they are mostly slanted commentary and very few facts. Pew research released numbers for each network showing a percentage of factual news reporting and percentage of opinion related reporting & debate.
The worst offender only reported factual information 15% of the time, the next wasn't much better and the best of the 3 reported factual news slightly less than 50% of the time. If you want to know who is who, do a little research for yourself. You will find out the channel whom you think is giving you all the facts is in reality giving you their opinion far more than the facts.
