Paying $1.50 per month to watch endless commercials just doesn't seem right.
The fee a broadcaster can charge for a commercial is based on the audience size. If Dish doesn't carry Fox than the audience size decreases so Fox gets less money for each commercial, unless they lie about the audience size. (Fox would not lie, would they?)
Seems like there are only two fair solutions.
1) Fox pays Dish based on the number of Dish subscribers.
2) Dish pays Fox $1.50 per subscriber for the program content and then runs their own commercials in place of the Fox commercials.
The word GREED keeps poping into my head here.
