I don't hear of the cable networks having to fight to keep channel costs low. I can't understand why they see satellite providers as cash cows to be milked for all they're worth. Here in the St Louis area, we lost Fox Sports Midwest on Dish that was carrying the Cardinals BB games. We weren't able to see the games toward the end of the season. Then I saw an article about viewership number were down - well doah!
The local channels are also playing this same game. Why aren't they trying to increase their viewership numbers? They broadcast free signal over the airways but many can't get them good enough to watch without cable or satellite TV. Seems to me they'd be happy their programming was being carried to more households so they could charge more for their incessant ads.
