Dish HD Free For Life is back...

If you're a Dish subscriber and do not already have grandfathered "HD Free For Life" (HDFFL), Dish is again offering it to account holders using autopay and paperless billing. If you currently have the "HD Free For 24 Months" bonus, your account will be automatically converted to HDFFL. You do NOT need to be under contract to get HDFFL, Pay-As-You-Go customers with purchased equipment are also eligible. It took about 4-5 minutes in a CSR chat session to get my account upgraded this morning, eliminating the $10/mo HD fee I had been paying.

    I just got off the phone with them, it's true but she had to put me on hold until she check it out. one of the conditions is, you have to be regisitered for automatic pay and another one that slipped my mind! I will have mine turned on in a couple of weeks and find out the other condition!

    Hopefully that won't be a problem with Dish, but I'll be keeping an eye on my account, Bill. I haven't heard of any issues with the folks that have the previous HDFFL grandfathered plans.

    Directv had free HD for life once. Being along time customer I asked for it a few years ago and got it. They must of thought I died because they take it off every few months. I have to call e'm and let e'm know I'm still alive.
