We currently have Dish Network with a DVR that supports watching a different channel on 2 different TVs.
We will be going full time RVing in about a month. Want to use the same setup we have our house.
I don't think the MP-1 will fit the bill for you. Here are some other antenna choices for a DVR:
- Winegard Travler -- probably the best but most expensive solution. It's fully automatic. Push a button and a few minutes later your sats are acquired.
- 1000.2 dish -- much, much cheaper than a Travler and a 1000.2 can get all same sats (plus actually more of them) than a Travler. However, you'll need a good tripod, signal strength meter, and patience to manually aim this dish.
- DISH 500 Pro -- you can pick one of these up on eBay. This is an easier-to-aim version of the 1000.2. However, you'll still need a tripod, signal strength meter, and patience, but you only have to acquire 2 sats instead of the 3 for the 1000.2.
Note that both the Travler and 1000.2 can get all the channels you now get at home (including HD), but the DISH 500 will not get most of the HD channels.
