I upgraded from the Tailgater to the X2 also - much more robust piece of equipment, and pulls in a much stronger signal. It will support two receivers, but both receivers must be watching the same satellite - can be different channels, but they must be coming from the same satellite. there are list online that say what channels are hosted on each satellite, so if you do a little searching, you can get an idea whether or not that is going to be a big problem to you .
