If you have Dish as your residential sat provider, and have some combination of Hoppers and Joeys on your account, Dish will only allow one VIP211 series receiver/Tailgater on that account. You can of course set up a separate account for the receivers used with multiple Tailgaters, at a much higher cost.
WRONG!
I have a Hopper /w Sling plus two Joeys at home. Also have two ViP211k in the RV. Just switched from DirecTV last month. Both ViPs were sold to me directly by Dish for $49 each. I also bought a King Flex dish. I pay $7 a month per ViP211k for service. The King Flex will operate in Tailgater mode or several other modes and supports TWO receivers. The Flex directions do not recommend attaching two receivers in Tailgater mode. I called King tech support and was told YES, you can hook up two in Tailgater mode. As we sit in this campground we do have the two ViP211k running off the Flex in Tailgater mode.
