Some campgrounds only have a few stations, whether cable or not. Do you suggest dish or Direct TV service. Winegard came with unit so it wouldn't be difficult to add. We don't want to install either at home. We usually travel for a month at a time (4 times a year).

for intermittent use, Dish has a good program, so I read here. I use dish myself. the only reason I could think of getting direct would be if I wanted to pay the buck$$$$ for the NFL package. that is not available with the cheap entry level programming on direct so it will put the cost way up there.bumpy

Not sure of your relunctance of not having sat TV at home too? But, be that as it may. Go to Dish. They offer a pay as you go plan

X2 for Dish. They're the only sat provider that has a "Pay-as-you-go" plan that lets you start and stop your service at will with no contract.
