Dish or Direct TV?
1st off I know this subjective! I currently have no service at my home, I know nothing about the types of service. I have 2 TV's in my 5er so I also need to know about the best equipment to purchase??...

I'd be rich by now if I got a dime for every unsolicited piece of advice that some people post that has nothing to do with the advice being sought. :R
To the OP, both services are about the same in terms of cost, equipment and reliability. Direct is known for offering sports packaging, if that's your thing.
Unless things have changed recently, you can only get HD channel with a dome antenna if you go with Dish. As far as I know, the only way to get Direct HD channels is by using a Winegard Trav'ler (very expensive) or a residential type antenna that must adjusted by hand.
In my opinion, either service will work for you if you want satellite TV.
