I understand that this is all worked out, but I wanted to jump in here as I ran into this with another camper a couple of years ago, and wanted to get it covered in case the thread was found via a search:
You run a Check Switch once. That's it. If the check does not indicate a problem and the "...important information" is successfully saved, you do not run it again unless you change receivers or dishes. It is a set up for equipment only. You do not re-run a check switch when changing locations.
