You can move the TV outside but you are going to need a very long HDMI cable is you want to be able to watch HD while outside.
If your remote does not work while outside you can buy an IR repeater for about 50 bucks and plug it into and outside power source (maybe where you plugged in the TV) and it will feed the IR signal to your inside receiver via RF.
