I've only had a couple of relatively minor issues with my Dish account, but I found the "DIRT" (Dish Internet Response Team) to be much more helpful than the phone customer service reps. Check any thread at the Dish Support Forums and look for the names in green. Their sigs usually include the days/hours they're on duty. Sending a PM that included my account number and PIN has worked well for me.
