Ask Dish if they will activate a dual receiver 222k(available on ebay for under $100.) and pay the monthly "extra" receiver fee.
I removed the cable from the back of the plate for the rear tv and sent it to an "A/B" switch on the "out" post. Cable from"A" to back of plate and cable from "B" to sat. receiver. That will allow you to watch different show from sat. in bedroom or let you watch OTA by switching to "A"with power button "on".
I use a tripod mounted dish and can usually point it in under two beers.;)
