Using the satellite receiver to dial in the dish works well when the dish is located close enough to the RV. I've set my dish up as much as 150' away though, and I use an SF-500 signal meter that identifies the satellites and sounds a tone when it's locked on. It only displays one satellite at a time, but switching only takes a few button pushes. The meter costs about $65, and they're readily available on eBay and other sources. My typical setup time from pulling out the tripod to starting the receiver update is about 15 minutes.
