If left off for something in excess of a month, it loses its "authorization". I typically run into the same problem a time or two each year. Although it generally only takes me about a 2-3 minute phone call to get it reauthorized. But another 15 minutes for the 211k/tailgater to cycle thru its power up procedure again.
