Dish Trav'ler installing

I would like to add a Winegard Dish Trav'ler to my Cedar Creek Fifth Wheel 33IK. There is a decal on the roof that says "Data and/or coaxial cable for Winegrad Satellite antenna is located below this decal". Before I drill a hole in the roof I would like to have some idea what lies below this decal. Are the connectors installed on the coaxial & data cables or do I need to provide them? The Trav'ler has a long data cable attached to it, is there room to put the excess cable in the roof? I have a photo of the decal but I don't know how to attach it here.

Unless the manufacturer provides a wiring diagram, anything could be under that decal.

For my DISH install, along with the "Interface Box Cable", I ran all 3 coax connections (A, B, C below) into the RV.

Though you may only need 1 of those coax connections for your current DISH setup, in the future you may need all three. And it's easier to run coax now than later:

Ultimately, you'll need to know what DISH receiver(s) you'll be using. See DISH TV for RVs for sample wiring diagrams.
  • If your "pre wire for Travler" is the same as my coach, the coax and data cable should already be there. You won't need the data cable that came with your dish.

Can the data cable be removed from the dish or is it hard wired to the dish?

It can be removed. You remove a cover plate to access the plug. Then you remove the weather proof grommet that passes through the case. The new cable should already have the grommet on the cable because it won't pass over the connector.
