Here we go again. I've been a Dish customer for a long time and their DNS policy changes every few years for various reasons. I've had them from AAD a couple of times, from Dish a couple more and none at all a couple times.
For now changing locations and getting locals via Dish works tolerably well but I don't bother with that if I'll be moving on in a week or two so I still have AAD. I've been putting off getting a Winegard 1000sk for awhile hoping they'd come up with Eastern Arc support. Without that, AAD would be my only path to the 4 networks when in a area with locals only on the Eastern Arc.
Perhaps Dish will start offering DNS again for the 3rd (or is it 4th) time. Some of those ended due to legal problems, others due to business decisions.
