There are advantages to both DISH and DRIECtv for assorted folks in the RV, for one thing though both Dish and Direct carry MOST of the same channels there are some that are exclusive to one or the other service... One I really like is on DISH.. ONLY. For others there are channels you find on Direct Only (And as it happens I do not care for those). So for me it's DISH. Also a DOME with a single receiver, can pick up all the DISH programming, SD and HD both, Not so with DirecHDTV, domes do not work (yet). Though there is a trade off here too.
As for DNS... That is a major issue.. However if AAD ceases operation, Perhaps someone else will pick it up.
