- dan-nickieExplorerDish for 2 reasons.
1 I have it at home and bought an extra receiver for the MH.
2 Dish can get HD from the portable dome type dishes. - nomad297Explorer

Yes. The Slimline dish is simply marvelous. You can't beat it.

- BB_TXNomadCan only speak for Dish. Have had it many years at home and added a receiver and Tailgater for the RV. Very happy with both. Dish makes it very simple to get local (to that area) network channels and HD channels in the RV when you are out of your home area.
- lhenry8113ExplorerI have both in 2 separate homes--in very different locations--Dish at 6000 ft in the mtns. and Direct in a residential area near the ocean. In the 5'vr I have Direct--just updated the receiver to an HDDVR. Have liked the DirectV in the 5'vr for the zip code programming feature. I like Dish network cause it doesn't seem to have as many useless channels as Direct does. Seems as if Dish is a bit cheaper, too. Lars
- simple274ExplorerNomadac, do you pay for that extra receiver in you MH
- skipncharExplorerI have both services (on two different homes). The service is the same generally but I prefer the channel line up of direct but that's just a personal preference. Check out the specific programming and make a decision based on that.
Good luck / Skip - NomadacExplorerI prefer DirectTV as I have had it at home for over 14 years. It offers more HD channels and is easy for me to use one of my receivers in my RV when I travel.
