Do I have to turn off computer over night ?
I have a Dell lap top and have been turning it off every night. Is this necessary. It takes a long time to boot up in the morning. I have win 8.1

I reboot laptop every 3 weeks or so. Turning it off means waiting to boot, starting the VPN, starting and entering a 4 digit pin for the Encrypt single use key software, entering the 8 digit generated key plus my 8 digit password into the VPN, logging onto email, logging onto the 4 servers I use every day... even every 3 weeks is tediously too often. I run win 7 pro and see no difference from when I boot to 3 weeks later. In fact usually it is windows updates that force me to boot.
