I did the same before we moved into the house. I was at a campground that did not get strong Verizon reception. The Wilson booster took care of the issue and also helped my mi-fi get better data connection as well.
When I upgraded to the 4G Motorola Droid I used it for a wireless hotspot and it worked flawlessly with the booster. I still take it with us when we travel in the event there is a weak signal we can power up and be connected.
