So in our quest to find a motorhome we've been seeing lots of the newer ones that have TVs on the outside. On one hand, I kind of like the idea, but on the other I feel like it might be a pain.. like, you could only really watch it when it's dark out, since even with an awning wouldn't it be tough to see on a sunny day? And then, if you're in a campground, wouldn't it disturb your neighbors? or is it more like a novelty item geared toward tailgater types?So I was just wondering if you have one, do you use it a lot?

I have had one for 2 years and have used it twice.

I got one this past year, and really love it. It can be a little tough to see, but usually is ok. Everybody that walks by also seems to like it, men stop by to check out a baseball score or watch a horse race on the weekend. Flat screen doesn't weigh much, and I just store it under the sofa when driving on.Rosanne and I love sitting around the campfire at night watching a movie. The best $219.00 I spent in a long time!

Personally, I wouldn't want one. . I can watch the TV inside to check the news & weather.Other than that, no thank you. JMO

If I'm outside I have not a lot of interest in watching TV, and why should I inflict my viewing preferences on other people? It's only considerate, kind of like not using those nifty outside speakers to broadcast your choice of music to the world.Of course if you camp by yourself most of the time, then it's all pretty moot.

I do admit I did sometimes use a small portable outside when I was cooking outdoors, but now that my wife is gone I do not.

Now a outside tv, resonable volume, while you preare dinner, watching the news or whatever show you like, Not a problem

Same TV much higher volume while a bunch of football fans gather around drinking.. BIG PROBLEM

Our new fiver has a 36" tv mount in the outdoor kitchen. We would never use it there do we will take it out and install it in the bedroom. I have a small 24" tv we used in the bedroom of the old fiver that I will mount outside on the rear fold down deck. The deck will get a lot of use and I can watch the news in the morning while enjoying the lake view. Now if i can figure out what to do with tv lift from the outdoor kitchen. Happy camping

Only during football season do we use ours. Can be viewed just fine under the awning during the day. We are outside most of the time while camping, and use a 32" flat screen with volume kept down.

Oh Yeh... Its one of the first items we open up and turn on. I had one outside my previous motorhome and when we downsized, it was one of my first additions. Could not do without it. My whole group loves it. Using the outdoors is like putting an unlimited addition on your motorhome.

We use ours a lot when we are camp-hosting. We need to be available to the campers and if we are outside, most feel comfortable walking up to our fiver. If we are inside and not visible, many times, they will not knock on the door. So, yes, we use ours in the evenings while sitting at the picnic table or under the awning, especially when football season begins.

We removed the inside TV form our TT so we likely would not use an outside one.

We do sometimes during the summer but mostly we set up a 21" flat screen in the basement after arriving in Casa Grande, AZ for the winter in December. Weather is great for sitting outside watching football.

TV stores under our bed when not in use.

I believe the outside TV would be inconsiderate to your neighbors who may not be interested in hearing or seeing it. Go inside. IMHO

We have an outside TV in our new-to-us coach and have used it more than I thought we would. We have DirecTV and listen to music channels more than watch TV although we did watch part of a football game last night.

Prior to this coach, we hauled a TV from home occasionally and set it up if we were camping with friends to watch NASCAR.

My trailer was wired for an outside TV complete with mount. It was a no brainer for me to install an extra TV I already inherited there.
Surprisingly I watch it more than I ever thought I would.
