My new laptop running Win 8.1 has no physical switch but has a function key to set it to "airplane mode" which shuts off the wifi. Manufactures are different. Most have a little button.
I have exposed to many a person a small slider button on the front edge of a laptop.
Then I would say - "invoice will be in the mail". ;)
