dvr or standard receiver?
What are people's experience using a DVR hooked to a portable satellite dish while on a road trip? I've got both a simple receiver and a dvr I could use, however, DVR needs to be hooked up to the sate...

With Dish, after you have had your RV in storage for a couple of months, you have to go through the rebooting process or just call them and they will reboot your receiver from their end. One solution is install a roof satellite which will then automatically connect your signal. I also have 2 SD receivers, one for home and one for the RV which eliminates having to remove and replace the receivers.
