Extendable Antenna Mast

You can add an in -line adjustable RF amplifier (Radio Shack) just before the televiision.
I have done this for the last 5 years. First with a Winegard III with Wingman and last 2 years with a Winegard Razar on the long mast. The Razor easily finds maximum number of signals with a front facing antenna or a scan facing side of MH.
No need to know where signals are coming from. The 2014 Insignia LED TV takes only 3 minutes to fully scan digital channels.
