External hard Drive for Dish VIP 211K
Can anyone share a link to an external hard drive that will work with my Dish VIP 211K receiver? I've been looking but haven't found one that says it is externally powered, it also has to have no more...

After you pay the 40.00 one time fee to activate your receiver as ready to record , plug it in. The 211 will "see" it and ask if you want to format the drive .. answer yes and the drive is reformatted to "dish" wiping out any data index that might be on it and making future video recordings only readable by the 211. receiver. It's now mated to the recorder and ready to go. Easy
