Congrats Barney. I went from Mac user to PC back to Mac with no regrets. I use Mac at work and home so life is pretty seamless. I will take some getting use to, but over the years I've only had one hardware failure in a Mac and that was a hard drive. Do pick up an external hard drive for use with Time Machine, it really makes backing up a breeze.
Mac does things it's own way and getting use to that can take a while.
A couple things that can be annoying include the scroll direction if you use a mouse and not just the pad, if it goes the opposite why you'd expect then go Settings/Mouse and uncheck "Scroll Direction: Natural" Once you get the finger gestures down for the TrackPad you'll love it but does take a bit of time.
Another thing you may run into if you get email from corporate users is getting a blank email with a Winmail.dat attachment. This is caused by a problem with the windows server, but the solution beyond trying to get them to fix their server is go get a free application called "TNEFs Enough" if you don't have that issue that's great, its one of the annoyances that drives me crazy.
I'd bookmark, macupdate.com its a pretty good repository for mac software but the reviews are what make it helpful.
Enjoy!
