My first MacBook Pro lasted about 10 years. I had it 8 years and gave it to my son. The second MacBook Pro is about 8 years old. It's still working, but I had to buy an iMac. We have two iPhones and two iPads, one brand new and one is an old iPad Air.
At the begining I did take advantage of Apple Support (Genius Bar) in the store. Customer support is outstanding.
