FireFox

Have internet explorer 11.1 & i'am thinking of going with firefox or chome,Which one is better? How do you transfer favorites? What about your email?Does that stay the same?Sorry always had explorer. Thanks
  • E-MAIL: you use a separate program for e-mail - I've used Microsoft's Live-Mail for years and it's easy to use. Go on line to Microsoft and download for free.

I quit using Internet Explorer years ago when I kept getting viruses using it. My IT friend said that Explorer is used by 90% of user's and therefore hackers spend all there time writing for it, whereas with the lesser used browsers, they don't waste there time - haven't had a problem since I switched from Explorer to FoxFire!
  • I would start with FF as it's very easy to use and setup. It will ask if you want to import your favorites so that's really easy as well (I think Chrome does the same).
There are a number of add-ons available that will block ads and tracking and similar things. I still use IE 11 with Win 8.1 without issue, it just becomes a matter of which I was using when I save the link in most case.
  • I have and use both. Six to one half dozen. Depends on the application. FF is less ads, spam, etc. More privacy. Chrome for maps, mail and G apps.
