Our power management system wouldn't permit us to connect to voltage that low. You were risking lots of other things in your RV by connecting to it. - ferretgrandpaExplorerI bought my 42" Vizio because of the power supply, it can plug into 100-240v and work, according to Vizio, I haven't verified this. Does the Jensen sold at Camping World anything special, or can I run any flatscreen?

The only thing special about it is probably the price. It is too high.

Go to Amazon or Walmart. Vizio, Samsung or Panasonic.
Plus, look at what features you want.
I purchase many items from B&H to avoid the 7% NJ sales tax from Amazon, Walmart etc .
B&H TVs - tenbearExplorerAs others have said, look for a TV with a 12v to 14v wall wart. You can find them in some 22"-26" TVs.
- cpaulsenExplorerI use a 37" and a 32" Vizio in our 5th wheel.....never have had a problem.
- cochise49ExplorerAs far as I know the only "certifying agency" is Jensen. Wouldn't be my go to brand. Our new rig came with three flat screens. Two Samsungs and one Insignia (Best Buys brand). In previous rig I used a Vizio and replaced it with a JVC when the remote control sensor failed. Don't know why the sensor failed but don't think it was because of RV use. Buy what will work for you at the best price you can find. Mounts are fairly standard.
- CrabbypattyExplorerI installed a 32 and 24 inch LCD's both Samsungs purchased from our local dealer. Love the pictures.
- docjExplorerJensen makes a big deal about their TVs being "certified" for RVs. But even if it is true, at the prices they charge you could essentially buy a cheaper TV and throw it out if it goes bad and replace it. The chances are it won't go bad and you'll have saved yourself lots of money.
- RayNMesaExplorerThis was a good choice for me ,and it can be made to run on 12V .I have mine setup to run on the wall wart or 12 VDC plug on the antanna amp power supply.

The only thing special about the Jensen at CW is the price... It is generally a bit higher than the identical TV somewhere else.
I have 3 flat screens here, I will give you the standards by which they were chosen.
One is a off brand, Sansui or somthing like that, Cheapest thing Wal*mart had in the size I wanted.. Oldest of my flat screens works great..
One is a Samsung, this one has a 14 volt power brick and is really a good choioce for RV use because of it. Should work on 12 volts just vine and won't mine 15 either. Again it was a Wal*Mart special, floor display they lost the remote.. I already had a remote so no problem.
Finally a Dynex, got it at a pawn shop. My tape measure made the choice, it is EXACTLY the width of the unit it replaced.
