Life, especially RV'ing, with our smart (i), phones is the only way to go for us. I just upgraded my i phone 5 to the new larger 6+ which is much easier for these old eyes to see and my bride loves her i phone 5. We constantly have access to the internet which provides (among other things), real time weather/radar/forecasts, allows us to check on or make reservations at CG's/parks, find points of interest not to mention multiple GPS functions. Don't forget the Gas Buddy and all the other extremely useful RV app's.
Then there is the music player with many music app's like I Heart Radio, Pandora, Slacker etc. Add in the excellent camera/video capabilities and you begin to appreciate the many things they do well.... and they even make/receive phones calls {via the speaker, handset and Bluetooth direct into my hearing aids}. If you don't have a smart phone you are missing out on a lot of very useful features.
