Nah, I think I'll stick to my dumb phone and spend my money on fuel.
Why do you think it has to be phone or fuel? Hubby and I spend about $130/month on our unlimited data smart phones. Among other things, we use them to stream video for movies or tv shows we want to watch. We do not have cable or satellite TV, and I think the price is comparable.
The ones in favor of the dumb phones are ones who have never gotten used to having the entire world of information in their handbag. When we're going down the road and see something interesting, I can Google for more information before we reach the exit. ;)
When hubby gets tired and says find a place to park, I can check RV Park Reviews, Passport America and Overnight RV Parking from the road.
What's that gun owners say about cold dead fingers? At least mine will be well manicures. :C
X2 LMAO :B
Most, if not all, of the folks extolling the virtues of the old technology have never tried the new smart phones. Funny thing though, I have never met anyone who went back to their old phone after experiencing a smart phone .... hmmm. :h
It is pretty hard to go anywhere, including a lot of boon docking coast to coast where we don't have a decent cell signal (Verizon). The smart phones just keep getting better and no, the updates do not cost more money. Until you have owned one it is hard to imagine just how useful they are.
As always.... Opinions and YMMV
