Get Real AdBloc Plus back

I updated my Firefox, but had problems. Thus, tried deleting it and reinstalling from scratch.

Now, I have a perfectly hideous disruption with ads galore.

Please help me get true blocking of ads back.

    There ARE "copy cat" versions of AdBlockPlus..

    The genuine version will have a red stop sign..

    You also want the Easylist filter shown below (make sure you uncheck the little box in circled in red).

    I am running FIREFOX Ver 36.0.4 with no problems here...

    AdBloc plus is there under tools and has that option listed. It was 'ticked'. I've just tried 'unticking it' and the # of ads is worse not better.

    Did you reinstall the Adblock Plus add-on and uncheck the "Allow some non-intrusive advertising" box in the "Filter Preferences"?
