Just brought back the dell laptop we brought as I discovered windows 8sucks,thinking of a goggle chrome . me,any input? Is there a lot of games available or it?must be able to play scrabble and bejew...

IMO, if you're a relative novice and didn't like WIN 8, then you're not going to be happy with a ChromeBook either. In fact, Linux would be far more useful and available for Free.
However, if your new notebook came with Windows 8 "Pro", then you can downgrade to Windows 7 Pro for Free. You can use any Windows 7 Pro install disc, or download an .iso file and burn it yourself to a self booting DVD.
You then use the same Windows 8 Pro key to install Windows 7 Pro from the DVD, but need to call Microsoft in order to activate within 30 days. You cannot do an online activation when downgrading.
