If you have a good 120VAC HDTV brand you like you can always install a PSW 300WATT Inverter to run off your battery and give you 120VAC to run the HDTV and other home entertainment items like the DVDs-cell phone chargers-computer chargers etc... I ran two 120VAC emergency drop cords installed out of site to both my home entertainment area and the bedroom area from my Installed power Inverter for our emergency 120VAC power requirements. All you see is one of those multi-tap extension cord receptacles on the back of a cabinet top with ON-OFF breaker switch.. These are always ON when we are camping. Even at Electric camp sites... They go off-line sometimes too...
Some folks will find a good HDTV they like that has the 120VAC BRICK transformer for power source. Those usually put around 15-19VDC and run just fine off of 12-15VDC that your trailer converter/charger produces... All you need is a DC adapter (RADIO SHACK) that fits the DC Cord connector on the back of those HDTVs... Carry the brick transformer with you to Radio Shack and you can match up the proper adapter real quick.
The VIZIO HDTVs pick up the digital BROADCAST TV signals from the local towns just great using the OTA BATWING crank up antenna. With digital high def TVs you either get great quality TV pictures or nothing at all... Not like the old days...
We have been running the VIZIO HDTV models from WALMART for years. They always have something good on sale it seems... We use the 22-inch model in our off-road POPUP. Having the same HDTVs everywhere makes it easy to always find a remote unit hehe...
