The content/data will go direct to the dongle. The dongle will connect to your phone's hotspot (or whatever wifi connection you have) so will be able to use the phone's data connection.
Great that's what I was hoping for. All the cables and adapters I was using to get HDMI out of my S3 was a hassle. Amazon ended up just shipping mine from thirty miles away. So I'll probably see it tomorrow instead of Tuesday. Sometimes it's already out for delivery before I'm notified it has shipped. I report back as soon as i do a test drive.
Does appear it has sold-out on Amazon, BestBuy, and PlayStore. Kind of fun watching the resales on eBay now that it is a rare bird.
