THat is what my Motorola phone and wife's Galaxy Tablet does.
I believe is is a function of the Jelly Bean update.

Of course, the TV has to have wifi built in.... so the new dongle really is not needed to transmit wireless to the TV.
But it does tie up your phone or tablet.
