Sounds like you have converted your map to use Maps Engine (lite) or MEL... MEL is not Google Maps, it's more like Microsoft Streets - it's about adding your own data and route planning, not about streetview or traffic.
Check out these two links, both are maps I have saved on my Google account. The one in California I converted to MEL.
