As to a GPS, I've been using a Garmin 890 for about 4 months, and find a big improvement over my previous NUVI 3580. The large 8" screen (actually a modified Android tablet) has enough room that the maps look like the older Delorme Street Atlas maps, which I preferred over the Garmin maps. Lots of side street details, etc.
