gps mounting bracket

I am getting a Garmin 760RVLMT and was looking for a mounting bracket for the M/H. Any info on what is the best for on top of the dash? I don't want to mount it permanently but do want it secure. What have all my friends on here found to work the best for you.
Thanks

  • Having tried the Bean Bag style that others have mentioned, I found that This One is smaller, lighter and easier to pack away, it conforms to the dash better and its non skid bottom seems to stay in place better than the Bean Bag types.

The Video in the review section sold me.
  • Thanks for all the info on GPS mounts. I have order the Gamin Friction mount. Should work as my dash is fairly flat.
This is such a great site to find very useful info from people with actual experience and give lots of advice. Not all is good but most is very helpful.
Hope everyone has some great and safe Holidays.

  • I found one that attached to the air conditioner vents on the dash. A little tricky putting it on but I like it in our Horizon B.

Here's the one I use. Same GPS and holder 7 years and counting!

I use this same one - works fine and you can use it with any GPS or phone with a suction cup mount.

I have these portable friction mounts for home and work. Doesn't matter what vehicle I use them in, they always stay where I put them. And no fuss with suction cups, etc.

    portable friction mount

Been using this (call it the beanbag) on six different vehicles since 2004, with GPSMap as well as Nuvi models. on only one vehicle would it not stay put where I wanted it, and for that one found a usable spot where it wedged against the corner of the windshield.

I've had a lot of trouble with suction cup mounts in hard sprung vehicles on rough roads, even where I permanently installed a smooth disc. They might hold for a while then let go.

in my motorhome I did a permanent adhesive mount of a standard Garmin base. that one has hung on for nine years so far, accepts the mounts for eac device Garmin has issued since.
