I think it is time for me to purchase a new GPS as my ole Garmin Nuvi 765T is acting retarded. Thinking about another Garmin but there are so many models to choose from, any suggestions?
Tried the Garmin Dezl in RV mode yesterday in Best Buy. Had it route me to a place that I knew so that it would chose between a road with low clearances or the route that is safe to go on in the RV. It chose wrong. Sent me in a 13 foot RV on a road with low clearances. Very disappointing. If the Garmin RV unit has the same routing algorithm stay away. My CoPilot app gets it right!
About 4 weeks ago I bought a Garmin RV 760. To say I dislike it would only be polite. It's the most user unfriendly GPS I have ever laid my hands on, just saying.
We have a Garmin 2797LMT which we have used for many trips, it comes with free lifetime maps and reroutes around congested areas We really like this Garmin as it meets our needs. And most important it has the 7" screen which makes it easy on the eyes.
Save your $. If you've got a smartphone, get the CoPilot GPS app for about $10. Maps will download to your phone and you won't need to use data while navigating. Wish I had bought this in the beginning and not splurged on the Rand McNally 7720. Live and learn...die and forget it all.
