gps routes
Does anyone know of a gps unit that allows you to lay out a route using highway numbers rather than cities?

You may need to expand on this a bit. Are you talking about entering two cities and letting the GPS determine the route between them?
When I set up a route I use "waypoints" which are independent of cities or highway numbers.
